I seem to have entered my teapot phase again, it's been a while since I made some but I think watching 'Choccywoccydoodah' last month has inspired me again & the multi-tiered teapot cakes have proved popular at the miniature fairs, mainly because a lot of people seem to be re-creating the Mad Hatters' Tea Party scene :o)
I have made a little more progress on my own dollhouse, painted the window frames & doors although I think they need another coat before I start the actual wood effect on them. I have made a little name plate for it which will go on the wall just to the side of the front door when I have finished applying all the 'bricks'. I have decided to call the house 'Casa De Groaza' which is Romanian for 'The House Of Horror'. Most of the inhabitants will be characters from horror movies, but I couldn't think of a suitable mistress that appealed to me. I was thinking maybe Morticia Addams, Lily Munster or even Valeria Watts (Carry On Screaming) as I do want a 'vampy' mistress but then, while flicking through the music channels on tv, I came across Christina Aguileras' 'Fighter' video & knew straight away that that was the image & inspiration I wanted for my mistress character. I have begun working on her already, albeit it's only her boots & legs, but it's a start :o)
I hope you all have a fantastic week, hugs, Kerry.x.

OMG Kerry !! i love the teapot cake you have a great imagination this would look perfect on a mad hatters tea party table, and the boots are fab !! cant wait to meet her when she`s done . x
Thank you!! :o). The teapot cake is my interpretation of one that 'Choccywoccydoodah' makes, only theirs is full size & edible, lol. x
I love the tea party cake how cool! my poor tea party still isnt done, so many projects, I flit from one to another lol! The spooky house is fab, and what a great doll that will be! Dont know where you find the time to do the house as well as making all your beautiful creations! Kate xxx
Wonderfully imaginative work Kerry. The cake is marvellous but the boots are fabulously tantalising.....can't wait to see how she develops.
Thank you Kate & Janice!! Finding the time to work on my own dollhouse is difficult, that's why it's slow progress, sadly, I manage to put in about 2 hours a week working on it. I've really enjoyed making the boots & am looking forward to the next stage of making her, I've already made my butler & cook although I haven't dressed them yet as sewing is not my favourite thing to do, & will drag my heels over it, lol. Hugs, Kerry.x.
Beautiful cakes Kerry! I can see why they are so popular. I love the house you have chosen for Casa De Groaza and can't wait to see your doll. Her boots Rock. I am making my very first dolls for my haunted house, I work on them every night after dinner. It is hard fitting it all in :(
Hugs

Thank you Victoria :o) I really wish there were more hours in the day (or I didn't need to sleep) so I could work on my house more often, & once I've finished making my dolls I am going to make a start on the 'pets', lol. Good luck with your dolls, I hope you're going to show them on your blog, can't wait to see them :o) Hugs, Kerry.x.
I love your teapots and sweets! So darling! :-) Glad I found your blog!
